Doug has been continuously providing care for patients since 1970. He specializes in the use of manual (hands on) skills in the evaluation and treatment of chronic painful conditions affecting any part of the body.
In 1992, Doug was the second PT in Colorado to earn National Board Certification as a specialist in orthopedics. His particular specialization is in the manual technique of Strain and Counterstrain. The focus of treatment in our clinic is one-on-one interaction in developing a treatment plan and patient goals based on an individualized evaluation of each patient.
He often works with patients who have not responded to other types of treatment, including physical therapy.
Doug and his wife, Nancy who is also a physical therapist, established Front Range Physical Therapy in 1977. The practice grew to several therapists and support staff and in 1995 was sold to a national healthcare company, that he worked with for eight years. During this time he developed an education program for the company, based on the strain and counter strain technique.
In 2003, Doug and Nancy restarted their private practice which was committed to staying small and providing one-on-one care for each patient. In May 2014, the practice downsized to two days per week and relocated to the present location at 711 5th Avenue, in Longmont. We are taking patients on Wednesdays, at 601 Main Street in Windsor. Please call for an appointment.
